Abstract

Background: The efficacy of inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) for treatment of postoperative hypoxemia and increased pulmonary vascular resistance has been documented in a limited capacity in small randomized control studies. There is no data regarding the use of iNO with non-invasive ventilation. We review our center experience with use of iNO non-invasively in pediatric patients in our cardiac ICU and assess the safety and utility of no-invasive delivery of iNO.
