Abstract

Testing of energy storage devices for hybrid drive trains is a technically demanding field. For many companies this is a completely new field with a critical safety level. One of the problems involved is the many different types of electric drive concepts. This results in highly varying types of energy storage devices. It is necessary to characterize these properly according to the application and analyze the cycle stability. Scienlab electronic systems provides guidelines for setting up testing facilities for state-of-the-art high voltage equipment and safety regulations regarding the voltage level and explosion hazard.
