Abstract
In the present article, is shown a brief report of the so called pos-modern society, as it's main point the production of a concerning reflection about the importance of the academical teacher's role amid the new needs due to the effervescence and vertiginous changes in society. It's taken in consideration the urgency to reformulate the ways and styles of thinking, learning and teaching, so as to enlarge the perception of the new phenomena presented in our lives. So, the formation of university students becomes more complete and appropriate to act and deal amid the complexity of the contemporary society, with all its cultural diversity. The need to practice reflection is discussed as a way to raise the learning and combat the alienation that slays our society, through the search of an internal point of equilibrium. It is proposed yet, to work the understanding and the development of a greater didactic competence for the teachers, looking to increase the possibilities of using the advantages of a richer contact that can take place in higher education atmospheres, so much in function of the interpersonal relationships as for the wealthy cultural diversity.
