Abstract

Evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of the fecal immunochemical test (FIT) for the diagnosis of adult patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) compared to the guaiac fecal occult blood test (gFOBT), Conventional colonoscopy (CC), and flexible sigmoidoscopy (FS), existing in the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS). Methodology: We conducted a systematic review to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of the FIT test compared to the screening options currently available at the IMSS to diagnose of adult patients with CRC.
