Abstract

Obesity may be associated with an increased risk of adenomatous colon polyps and colorectal cancer (CRC). In spite of this elevated risk, research examining the relationships between obesity and colonoscopy quality metrics including adenoma detection rate (ADR), cecal intubation rate, and bowel preparation adequacy remains scarce. Quality colonoscopy is key to reducing CRC, especially important for higher risk groups.
