Abstract

In these days, patients who underwent gastrectomy for benign disease decades ago have reached cancer-prone age. Meanwhile, the prognosis of the patients who underwent gastrectomy for primary gastric cancer has improved. Therefore, the number of patients with remnant gastric cancer (RGC) is steadily increasing.The aim of this study was to clarify the clinicopathological characteristics of remnant gastric cancer.MethodFrom 2004 to 2012, 78 consecutive patients with RGC after distal gastrectomy in our hospital were enrolled in this retrospective study.
