Abstract

GB (gallbladder) polyps larger than 10mm are generally considered to be indications for cholecystectomy because of the risk of cancerous changes. But EUS alone has limitation in differential diagnosis between neoplastic GB polyps and non-neoplastic GB polyps through only current size criteria. In recent years, contrast medium has been used for ultrasonography to evaluate the hemodynamic of region of interest. This study was to evaluate the usefulness of CEH-EUS in differential diagnosis between neoplastic (adenoma, adenocarcinoma) and non-neoplastic GB polyps (cholesterol polyp, adenomyomatosis).
