Abstract

Photodynamic Therapy and Radiofrequency Ablation has been applied as ablative methods for locally advanced pancreatic cancer. LA with neodymium:yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser is an alternative mini-invasive approach that can achieve a high rate of complete tissue necrosis. In a previous pilot study we described the feasibility of EUS-guided Nd:YAG LA performed in vivo on pancreatic tissue in a porcine model.
