Abstract

Cross-sectional imaging is increasingly used as an initial diagnostic test in evaluating patients with a variety of symptoms. When luminal abnormalities are detected these patients are referred to a gastroenterologist for further evaluation and management. There are limited data whether endoscopy is necessary and if endoscopy would alter the clinical management of these subjects.
