Abstract

Reflux esophagitis after ESD procedure in a patient with early well differentiated adenocarcinoma located at EGJ. There was neither patient complain on reflux symptom nor endoscopic finding of reflux esophagitis before procedure (A). Narrow band imaging revealed irregular microvascular pattern (B). ESD was performed and a half of circumferential extent of mucosal defect was created (C). Follow-up endoscopy revealed complete mucosal healing after 1 month of medication (D), however, on further follow-up of 6 month (E) and 1 year (F), reflux esophagitis was demonstrated with negative biopsy finding.
