Abstract

The anti-reflux metal stents (ARMSs) were designed to reduce the duodenobilary reflux and ascending infection, and prolong the stent patency in patients with inoperable malignant distal biliary obstruction. In this study, we aimed to compare the stent patency between the covered self-expandable metal stents (SEMSs) with an anti-reflux design, and those without an anti-reflux design.
