Abstract
Temporary anchorage devices are rapidly raising interest among orthodontists as a treatment modality. Attaining adequate anchorage with traditional orthodontic mechanics has been a difficult aspect of treatment planning some cases. TADs can provide such anchorage. Skeletal anchorage can also positively influence growth in adolescent patients. These techniques are especially helpful for patients who refuse orthognathic surgery.
