Abstract

Hedonic deficits have long been associated with schizophrenia (SZ) and major depressive disorder (MDD). Given the heterogeneity of these illnesses, however, as well as the substantial overlap in negative symptomatology and clinical presentation, our understanding of the precise mechanisms underlying these impairments remains poorly understood. Thus, the present study sought to examine hedonic deficits in SZ, MDD, and healthy control (HC) participants, and evaluate the predictors of these processes across groups.
