Abstract

Recently, the automated visual inspections using Robot are getting more important. In our research, the manufacturing cell simulation for the automated visual inspection using Robots has proposed and developed to reduce the lead-time for setting the automated visual inspection. However the usages of the virtual images which are created by the simulation, were not technically cleared. In this paper, the creation process and usage process of the virtual images were investigated and the problems for the difference between the virtual images and the real images through the processes were summarized. The virtual calibration method was proposed to solve the problems. The case studies were carried out to evaluate effectiveness for the proposed calibration method.
