Abstract

In modern part manufacturing, in order to achieve high performance products, the accuracy required for machined parts with complicated shape is higher. Multi-axis machine tools are usually used for such machining parts. However, there is the problem that machined errors always occur on machined parts and sometimes interfere with the required accuracy of machined parts. For this reason, it is necessary to derive machined errors of the machined parts, before actual machining. In the previous report, the tool swept volume generating method based on the tangency condition was proposed. The solving method of the self-intersection problem was also proposed by our study. In this report, the tool swept conditional equation is simplified without any approximation and the case study is performed.
