Abstract
All UK endoscopists have to undergo a validated endoscopic accreditation process to become bowel cancer screeners. The St. Mark's Bowel Cancer Screening Centre (BCSC) has five accredited screening colonoscopists of varying backgrounds-3 UK trained consultant gastroenterologists, one UK trained consultant nurse endoscopist and a Japanese trained consultant endoscopist.
