Abstract

Facial skin resurfacing via carbon dioxide laser can have a dramatic effect on the overall aesthetic rejuvenation of the facial region. This powerful tool is an excellent complement to the more traditional methods of facial aesthetic surgery such cervicofacial rhytidectomy and facial augmentation surgery. This course will allow clinicians to become familiar with the basic physics of the CO2 laser as it relates to facial aesthetic surgery. It will also highlight indications for facial resurfacing as well as the preoperative and postoperative management of the laser patient.
