Abstract
Rotational vibration caused from tooth profile error is explained from vibration manipulation function as intermittent operation in wave algorithm of energy transfer. The summation of tooth error of involute gear box can be modeled as angular displacement of the base of driven oscillator in every natural period. And induced oscillation can be modeled from either free or vibro-impact oscillation in driven system. Although the analytically obtained shapes merely satisfy a sufficient condition, we can understand effect of tooth profile error closely relates the state of the driven oscillator of the system.
