Abstract
Thin and wide as well as long material is called Web. The web material is produced in roll to roll systems, in the finally section, transported web is wound in the shape of the roll. The quality of the roll is consisted on the internal stress. As the internal stress is worse, various problems such as slippage or wrinkling will occur in the wound roll, hi order to prevent the various problems, it is important to know the internal stress of wound rolls. However, it is difficult to measure the internal stresses of wound roll, because the measured stress is strongly influenced by putting the sensor itself in layer of winding roll. In this paper, this influence was determined according to the visualization of stress distribution by using pressure indicating film. In addition to improve the experiments, we modify the pressure measurement method. The experimental results by modified method are closer to prediction than conventional one. In addition, Good agreements can be seen between the predicted results and measured results under the various conditions.
