Abstract

Main methods used today to predict outdoor acoustic propagation such as HARMONOISE posit geometrical acoustic propagation. However, they have a problem that cannot take account a complex terrain or flow field in principle. Meanwhile, Euler equation method can take account them. This study aims to clarify the difference between HARMONOISE and Euler equation method. We analyze acoustic propagation over hill to consider about acoustic diffraction. Comparing two methods, Euler equation method is better to analyze acoustic interference.
