Abstract

Objective : Describe job satisfaction and analyze some factors affecting job satisfaction of health workers in Regional General Hospital Tieu Can district - Tra Vinh province, 2020. Methods: The cross-sectional study desgin with the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods was applied with total 153 health workers, performed from May to August 2020. Main findings: The rate of job satisfaction was low at 28.8%. Overall satisfaction score of 3.72. There is a relationship between the factors of income (p = 0.006; χ2 = 7.56; OR = 3.74), education level (p = 0.009; χ2 = 6.87; OR = 4.29), working position (p = 0.001; χ2 = 11.15; OR = 4.60) with job satisfaction. Income factor; working environment factors; leadership and colleague factors; Personal characteristics factors affecting job satisfaction of health workers. Job satisfaction rate is low, hospitals need to increase income for health workers, improve the working environment, leaders pay more attention to employees, implement a work performance evaluation system.
