Abstract

Steel Production Control System has the requirements of fault tolerance, on-line expandability and on-line maintenability since the steel production process needs to operate continuously without system down for reliability of production, the large steel production system is constructed step-by-step according as requirement rise and the fault in the system need be repaired during the operation of the system. For their requirements, Autonomous Decentralized Steel Production Process Control System has been developed.This control system has software feature that every subsystem has autonomously to manage itself and coordinate with the other subsystems through a proposed data field (DF), in which data circulates and subsystem selects whether to receive the data on the basis of its content. In this system, there exists no specific manager and no master/slave relation structure among the subsystems.The effectiveness of this system test mechanism is provided by its applications to real time control systems. This software system structure is proposed on the basis of the Autonomous Decentralized Ssytem Concept. Autonomous Decentralized Process Control System is one of evidence of efectiveness of this system concept.
