Abstract
The reactions of sterically less hindered α-bromo alkyl and aryl ketones with tetrasulfur tetranitride·antimony pentachloride (S 4N 4·SbCl 3) complex in toluene at reflux gave the corresponding α-chloro ketones in good to excellent yields.
