Abstract
The Rydberg states of the acetylene clusters (C 2H 2) 2 and (C 2H 2) 3 have been resolved by the technique of two-photon resonant ionization spectroscopy in the energy region of the monomer gerade Rydberg states. The stability of these cluster Rydberg states has been found to be vibrational mode dependent. The geometry of the clusters, and the mechanism of the dissociative ionization have been discussed.
