Abstract

The article, based on the materials of the rich personal archive of the oral history of the author, shows the processes of sacralization of power that took place in the Russian village in the 1920s and 1930s. Of particular interest are changes in the mentality of the peasants of that era associated with the offensive of power on the religious beliefs of Russian peasants.
