Abstract

The Russian and Ukrainian war has been triggered by several contributing factors and has gone on toward registering negative impacts across the world. The objective was to determine the contributing factors, effects and the possible solutions of the Russian and Ukrainian war. The methodology employed in this study was premised on the inductive method, using the bibliographic research. The findings suggest that the contributing factors to the Russian-Ukraine conflict; include the countries’ tumultuous past, female violence in Eastern Ukraine, multipolarity, and Russia’s supposed defense of the status quo. Moreover, the war effects include large civilian and military casualties, food shortages, worldwide economic downturn, freight rate increases, and volatility, to name a few. To conclude, some of the possible solutions of this war include the diplomatic discussions, territorial bargaining, and the staging of peaceful global rallies.
