Abstract

Considerable interest in Russian historical research on the Xinhai Revolution concerned its influence on the subsequent development of the country. Russian researchers have been engaged for over 100 years in studying the Chinese Revolution of 1911. Soviet and Russian academics have published more than 100 monographs, articles, and document collections. The main purpose of this article is an analysis of trends in Russian historiography of the Xinhai Revolution during different periods, so as to reveal the salient features of the reflected perspectives on the Revolution in China.
