Abstract

AbstractBilateral relations between Russia and China are among the most significant in today's rapidly changing world. Reliability, stability and scale of the partnership define various spheres of the tendency of economic development. So far, relations between the two countries are supported by participation in major international organizations and integration projects – Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Both countries have strategic interests in such projects. In this regard, the review of status and prospects of cooperation between Russia and China in promoting the “two initiatives” (One Belt - One Union) is a relevant measure to predict the development of the Eurasian political and economic integration in general. This article analyzes the cooperation mechanism and forms of the EAEU and BRI in the framework of Russia-China relations. The research revealed the basic strategic interests of Russia and China in the integration process, as well as the role of the EAEU and BRI in bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
