Abstract
This article is intended to illuminate some aspects of the education process of control theory in Russia-history, structure and content. Each of the authors worked at Russian educational institutes for more than 20 years. They are hopeful that this information will be of interest to readers worldwide, especially professors dealing with the teaching process of control theory, engineering sciences, computer sciences, and others. The point of view presented here does not claim to be the absolute and last word, but reflects the authors' position based on long-term experience in research and teaching. Readers may find brief comments concerning the state of education in Russia in the context of political events.
