Abstract
The article deals with the vocabulary of the Russian island dialect that takes an active part in the formation of toponyms of the region. The words borrowed from the Azerbaijani language (geographical nomens, anthroponyms) take part in the Russian toponymy. It is noted that despite the levelling of the Russian dialect, considerable renaming the Russian toponyms will remain in the linguoculturological space of Azerbaijan as the historical monuments.
