Abstract This dissertation entitled ‘Agrarian Poverty in South Sweden during the nineteenth Century’ is the second in a project, sponsored by the Institute of Economic History in Stockholm, for the study of structural change and adaptive mechanisms in Swedish agrarian society during the period of population growth in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
