Abstract
Known barriers to child and adolescent mental health service delivery in rural settings include shortages and maldistribution of mental health providers, geographic isolation, transportation difficulties, and stigma, yet methods developed to address disparities in rural mental health service delivery have not been applied systematically or consistently. This presentation will examine effective strategies for improving access to mental health services for youth in rural communities and highlight successful programs designed to serve this vulnerable population.
