Abstract

This paper draws upon a broader research work based on doctoral dissertation about Rural Entrepreneurship Development vis-a-vis the role of various Entrepreneurship Development Institutions fostering rural entrepreneurship, rural industrialisation and overall rural economic development. This paper aims at appreciating the need for and relevance of understanding dynamic paradigm of rural entrepreneurship Development. Enterprises in rural environments are operating in an arena of extreme and rapid change. However, despite the recognition that entrepreneurship is one of the primary facets through which rural economic development can be achieved, empirical research on rural entrepreneurship is relatively sparse and this concept remains largely unknown.
