Abstract

A 22-year-old woman, gravida 2, para 0, arrived at the emergency room with a 12-hour history of left lower abdominal pain. The patient stated that she was sexually active and not using any contraception. On admission, the patient was tachycardic, with blood pressure of 110/60. Her β-human chorionic gonadotropin level was positive; her blood count showed hemoglobin of 10.3 with a hematocrit of 31.
