Abstract

Complications following ankle arthroscopy are frequent. The most common complication reported is neurologic injury. Other complications include vascular injury, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, synovitis, instrument breakage, painful scars and fibula fracture. We present a case of extensor hallucis tendon rupture after ankle arthroscopy. A rare complication not previously reported. This was treated surgically with an uneventful recovery.
