Abstract

Authors report one rare case of neglected patellar ligament rupture. The treatment was surgical by performing sutures strengthened by a pedicled graft of quadriceps. we started kinesitherapy after 6 weeks of immobilization by a knee support. Functional result was excellent for active extension, but there was a knee stiffness concerning flexion. Thorough a literature review, we recall difficulties of care of this injury, even on the diagnosis and therapeutic levels.
