Abstract
The properties of two neighboring primary homoclinic points are exchanged via a nontransversal intersection in standard-like mappings. The critical parameter value of this transition is the limit of the critical values for the equi-period pitchfork bifurcations of monotone periodic points and those for periodic points revolving round the main stable fixed point.
