Abstract

The world changed in so many ways since September 11, 2001 that it would be difficult to assess the impact the terrorist attacks on World Trade Center twin towers had on the entire legal fraternity. Terrorism has become a part of life for people all around the world. UK has been living with terrorism for a fairly long time due to the Irish atrocities but it was in a much smaller scale compared to what the Al Qaeda terrorists planned to achieve. Terrorism made most countries cautious and this brought about new stringent laws that presented new challenges to the sanctity of the rule of law. Complexities of terrorism present different challenges to uphold rule of law and liberty.
