Abstract

Ruination and the Headless Man is a companion piece to an art installation titled Promethean Methods. Together my work explores the experience of viewing horrific images of suffering and brutality from the safety of home. Like the event of beheading itself, the installation work becomes something else through remediations. Rather than simply describing Promethean Methods this piece seeks to build on and extend that work.
