Abstract
Cone-shaped and fractured teeth often present a problem in rubber dam application. Conventional techniques usually require forcing clasps subgingivally, with possible damage to the cementum and periodontium. Techniques are presented to place the rubber dam clamps supragingivally on both cone-shaped and crownless teeth. This is done by the use of acid etch and pin-retained composite resin buildups done prior to endodontic treatment. Cone-shaped and fractured teeth often present a problem in rubber dam application.
