Abstract

Although local infiltration anesthesia, intralesional steroid injection, cryotherapy, and other periungual procedures are common in dermatology clinics, periungual pain proves bothersome for patients. Topical anesthesia or a digital nerve block can be applied before the procedure, but the former is not sufficient and the latter requires an experienced physician.
