Abstract

In this study, to determine the efficient fungicides and biological fungicides and to reduce the use of fungicides minimize the residual problems of pesticides by improving practical method on low dose fungicide applications and mixed use of bio-fungicides which is environment-friendly and effectual in both to conventional and organic agricultural practices against gray mold in lettuce are aimed. The greenhouse trials were carried out in 2009 and 2010. One dose application of fungicides with Boscalid+pyraclostrobin active ingredient in one and two weeks intervals were found as succesfull in disease control. However, fungicide with cyprodinil + fludioxanil active ingredient has a phytotoxic impact to Yedikule lettuce cultivar, although disease control was successfully achieved. The application of biological fungicides a day in advance to the pathogen inoculation were failed in suppressing the disease (28% - 28.8%) in the greenhouse experiment in 2009. The biological fungicides applied ten days before pathogen inoculation had a significant increase effect (63.34% - 82.62%) in disease control in 2010, comparing to the first year. In summary, the use of biological fungicides and half dose of fungicide with active ingredient with boscalid+pyraclostrobin in integrated the disease management is environmentally friendly and can help reduce the amount of fungicides are realised effective control.
