Abstract

Cryptography and Steganography are broadly used techniques in the field of data protection. As the amount and variety of data stored and transmitted across different media continue to grow, security specifications need to be established at different levels of media access, and issues of confidentiality, integrity, authentication and continued availability have become key. The main goal of this research work is to ensure the highly secure transmission of multimedia files on the network. The proposed work deal with three modules Hiding text in image files, hiding text in audio files, and hiding an image in audio files using both cryptography and steganography techniques. For encryption RSA algorithm, compression is done by GZip algorithm, password field in the stego header for the authentication purpose and bipolar TER multiple base techniques are used for data hiding and security. At present, the system hides text, audio and image file and makes them more secure and efficient. In future research development IP headers are used to cover data to hide sensitive information.
