Abstract

In wireless sensor networks (WSNs), the sink mobility along a constrained path can improve the energy efficiency. The mobile sink collects data from randomly deployed sensor nodes with constant speed has limited communication time. This causes difficulties in improving the network lifetime and efficient energy consumption. The recent advances in WSNs which leads to many new protocols specifically designed for sensor networks where energy awareness is an essential consideration. The proposed method of this paper is to access Multiple Mobile Sinks (MMS) in wireless sensor networks with delay constrained approach. A novel data collection scheme called Energy Efficient Shortest Path (EESP) is proposed, to use MMS in multi-hop sensor network with dynamic trajectory. The proposed algorithm is called Rouse-Slumber (RS) scheduling algorithm. The proposed method, reduce the total energy consumption and prolong the network lifetime.
