Abstract
L. de Heusch — An Answer to Claudine Vidal. Answering C. V.'s critical review of his work in CEA 100, Luc de Heusch insists that, contrary to her opinion, he never mistook Rwandese dynastie narratives for factual historical traditions, but described them as a grand mythical fresco setting forth the ideological basis of kingship. Thus his approach does not pertain to the field of ethno-history but to that of structural anthropology.
