Abstract

The self-consistent RPA model with Skyrme type interactions is extended to include Δ-hole excitations. Energies and transition strengths of Gamow-Teller and M1 states are studied systematically. We find that combined effects of RPA correlations and Δ-hole excitation decrease the transition strengths by about 35%.
