Abstract

While pulmonary hypertension itself is a rare disorder, its association has been identified in conjunction with other rare disorders, which is the theme of this issue of Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension. Co-guest editor Sonja Bartolome, MD, facilitated a discussion regarding the experiences and perceptions of leading PH experts—many authors in this issue—on this topic. Participating were co-guest editor Kelly Chin, MD, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center; Murali Chakinala, MD, Washington University School of Medicine; Richard Channick, MD, Harvard Medical School; Jean Elwing, MD, University of Cincinnati Medical Center; and adding to the comments later, Robert Baughman, MD, University of Cincinnati.
