Abstract

A round-view autostereoscopic display is proposed based on an adaptive subpixel pre-rendering (ASPR) tracking algorithm. In the ASPR-based round-view system, 3D scene is rotated adaptively in a floating viewing zone by changing parallax image array (PIA) in real-time corresponding to the viewer's position. To verify and evaluate the achievements, an ASPR-based round-view autostereoscopic display prototype is developed. The results in both quality and quantity show that a round-view 3D perception is achieved in 90° ortho-stereoscopy viewing angle without pseud-3D effect, viewing zone flipping, and time delay.
