Abstract
Abstract Many research studies have been carried out in Roumania on rhythmical processes in the human organism. The rhythmical processes which have been studied are: energetic metabolism, meteorotropic activity of the adrenal gland, ovulation, renal secretion of gonadotropins, digestive motility and secretion, urinary excretion of ascorbic acid, etc. Also studies on annual dynamics of hepatitis morbidity incidence and of adenoviral antibodies presence have been done. Apart from these studies empirical and theoretical research in the field of biorhythmology (for example the role of the pineal gland) and on the clinical applications of experimental data for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes such as menstrual disturbances, obesity, bronchial asthma, thyroiditis) were carried out.
