Abstract

Brachial triceps tendon rupture accounts for less than 1% of all tendon tears in the upper limb. The authors present two cases of amateur athletes, males, one in crossfit and another in weightlifting. Both reported sudden pain in the posterior region of the elbow, when finishing the throw of the olympic bar. They were submitted to surgery and repair was performed with transosseous cruciate sutures complemented with anchorage, according to the technique described by James Paci. High clinical suspicion leads to early diagnosis and treatment. The surgical technique described allows for early rehabilitation with good long-term functional results.
